Agios Theodoros can be regarded as a small paradise as green is the dominant colour, due to the wild plantation, the numerous fructiferous trees and especially the citrus. The abundant fructification noted in the area is the result of the river, which crosses over the village, as well as of the natives’ hard work. Citrus are cultivated not only in the valley of Agios Theodoros, but also on its coastal land. Specifically, most of the citrus cultivations can be found on the banks of river Pentaschinos. Agios Theodoros is famous for its orange and grapefruit cultivations. The cultivation of citrus used to be not only common, but also the main occupation of many people. Nowadays, according to the president of the community council, the production of citrus fruits has been reduced, as it is considered profitless. The elimination of exports has left the products undisposed, and many had not choice but to terminate the production. Despite the difficulties noted in the production of citrus fruits, Agios Theodoros still retains its major contribution in the sector. Without any doubt, Agios Theodoros would not be the same without them.
